The Unit Retrofit will demonstrate best-in-class practices in Passive House energy performance, tenant comfort and control, and modernization through the modification of a typical postwar apartment tower unit.

Developed using an integrated design process, including owner, user, and industry partners, the Unit Retrofit will spur innovation toward better, faster, and more cost-effective retrofit approaches, technologies, and products. This prototype will provide an opportunity to test, certify, and distribute innovative new technologies within the Canadian market.
